Great tutorial only problem I have is my dev box doesn't have SQL 2008 Express. I have got the Full version of SQL 2008 Standard and I can't use the tutorial as the code is written for SQL Express. Is their anyone that can help me out to get this application to work with SQL 2008 Standard. Matthew

It's always nice to find sample application to teach new ASP.Net developers. I used to old iBuySpy app made for ASP.Net 1.x it was a great source. And as this one is a port of the old iBuySpy, that's make it a great learning source candidate. Cheers

Not bad... a few typos here and there, but quite obvious how to fix it. One problem that I was stuck for awhile: On page 42, designing a cart table - if you just cut and paste the code from the tutorial, you are very likely to get the following error: Could not determine a MetaTable.... http://forums.asp.net/p/1526604/3818274.aspx explains what to do Also, "Add to cart" works as GET - bad!

not bad, but Repository pattern was not used for data layer as well as all business logic implemented in page events code behind, and this makes this application like example of bad practice code. I understand this is simple one, but all newbie who will read this tutorial will start using it like example and this is really dangerous.

This is very VERY good tutorial, which basically, covered all aspects to start development of serious application. Author done very great job and spent his own time for this tutorial. Thank you Joe !

I am giving this 5 starts because there is an 85 page .pdf that explains the project! Joe clearly is a master at presenting things so that people can understand. I will read the document word for word.
